Two on the ground

...and two in Heaven. The two on the ground, their spouses and one grandgirl were here for
Thanksgiving. They all love and serve Jesus. I am a blessed mama/grandma.

It doesn't seem to be quite time for me to hunker down with two cats on a mountain in California and just wait for Heaven. ...  although when the arthritis is raging Heaven looks mighty good. God has put people in my life that don't know where they're going when they die. I love them. I don't like the choices they make but that has nothing to do with anything at all. Here's the deal: Some of those people have an aversion to church. A church should accurately be called a" hospital". ... a place where people come because we know we're sick and need the Lord and other people to help us get well. The world assumes that all in the building act all holy and sweet. When we screw up they are confused.

...and by the way, the people in the world who are my friends don't care if I am pre-Trib,  post-Trib, no-Trib or a -Mil. When I am with them, I don't eiiher.

...so what is still my goal in the life I have left? That I may know Him, and the power of His Resurrectin, and the fellowship of His suffeings, being made conformable unto His death.

Do I really mean that?  Yep.

More Grace

My nerves are settling down.  How about yours? There are some Daniels around Trump. Hopefully he will not choose a Judas,

Meanwhile we have legalized marijuana in many states, legalized alcohol in all states, pornography grips multitudes, the majority of our kids do not live in a home with a mother and dad, same-sex marriage is here to stay, marriage just for a man and woman is debunked, sex outside of marriage has become the norm,  abortion is still killing millions of babies and crime and killer immigrants cannot be controlled. As thousands of unregistered, non-voting crowds protested millions of Christians dropped to our knees in grateful thanksgiving that we have been given more time and grace to press forward with the thrilling, transforming Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh, Love that will not let me go;
I hide my weary soul in Thee.
I give Thee back the life I owe
That in its ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

Jesus. Jesus

My nerves are settling down.  How about yours?  There seem to be some Daniels around Trump. Hopefully he will not choose a Judas, but he probably will.  Jesus did. For a purpose. What does this election mean? We know the Roman Empire fell apart a couple of thousand years ago and is waiting for some charismatic guy to come along who promises to resusitate it. It won't be Donald. America enfolds Israel. God's Eye is still on that Sparrow.

Meanwhile we have legalized marijuana in many states, legalized alcohol in all states, pornography grips multitudes,  the majority of our kids do not live in a home with a mother and dad, same-sex marriage is here to stay as marriage just for a man and woman is debunked,  abortion is still killing millions of babies and crime and killer immigrants cannot be stopped.  As thousands of non-voting kids protested in Times Square, down the street thousands more worshipped Christ at Hillsong. Our missionaries are experiencing a great harvest of souls in other parts of the world. Here at home many Christians have never led even one soul to Christ. It seems we have been given more time to press forward with the thrilling, transforming Gospel.

This is my "spin". When the last Gentile is "in", as my Ted often said: "Then, and only then the Lord will say: 'I'm wrapping it up and bringing you Home!' " ...and I just felt a chill go up and down my spine.

Let's talk girl stuff.  A couple of years ago Michelle O. appeared on TV in a sleeveless dress that exposed her lovely brown arms. Immediately almost every TV woman pundit headed up Fifth Avenue to buy dresses with no sleeves.  Except for Greta. She kept right on wearing business suits. With sleeves. I liked her. I miss her. Firings are always messy.

Oh, Love that will not let me go;
I hide my weary soul in Thee.
I give Thee back the life I owe
That in its ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.

God's Trump Card

He stumped out there in the hinterlands where hard-working men, the strong women they married, and fed-up Christians put him in the White House. It is comforting to know that Melania is not just another brain-dead gorgeous bimbo.  I think she has been being prepared her entire life to be a helpmate to this warrior we just voted in to be our president.

I feel sorry for Hillary. She has not had the blessing of being a helpmate to a Christ-honoring, righteous man. There is nothing more fulfilling for a woman this side of Heaven.

The enemy is not going to give up without a fight.  It will be dirty, absurd and vengeful. Pray without ceasing as we focus only on Jesus,  the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Love,  Jo

PLEASE VOTE

PRAYERFULLY. WHILE WE CAN.  BUT for the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, there is no hope for our nation. There never was.

Meanwhile: GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
Oh, God my Father.
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not.
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above.
Join with all nature in manifold witness,
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide.
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.
Blessings all mine with ten thousand beside!

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS; GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
MORNING BY MORNING, NEW MERCIES I SEE.
ALL I HAVE NEEDED THY HAND HAS PROVIDED.
GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS, LORD UNTO ME.

Love,  Jo
